Regional FM Operations Manager



Summary:


We are currently seeking an experienced Regional FM Operations Manager to join our busy Integrated Service Division. The role will initially be based between our Ballymoney and Belfast office but will move to our new Ballymena HQ within the next 6 months.


The Role:


Leading a dedicated team covering several busy multi-site contracts across Northern Ireland, the successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the delivery and operational performance of all FM contracts. 

Working alongside the Contracts Managers, the Regional Manager will ensure performance is kept to an optimal level, and drive continuous improvement through identifying, and implementing new processes to produce better contract performance.

Reporting to the Department Director, managing FM Operational activities will require focus on Service Delivery, Customer Service, Engineering, Contactor Management, Compliance and Health & Safety.


Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Overall responsibility of operational performance of all FM contracts
  • Developing a comprehensive knowledge of all contract scopes
  • Responsibility for H&S implementation, management, and reporting
  • Ensuring contractual KPIs are met, and improvement strategies are implemented where necessary
  • KPI reporting to both client and internal Dowds Senior Management
  • Assume full responsibility for contract outputs and management of services against contracted scope of works
  • Development of FM supply chain and labour resources to ensure all contracts are fully serviced whilst running efficiently
  • Performance management and mentoring of Contract Managers.  Selecting, managing, engaging, and developing highly performing and diverse operating teams, with the right skills and capabilities
  • Overseeing coordination of contract level teams
  • Collaboration with other Dowds Business Units (Construction & Building Services) and departments including HR, Procurement and Finance.
  • Leadership – providing confident, visible leadership, ensuring standards are set and delivered
  • Management of all new contract mobilisation processes
  • Client Relationship Management – Engaging with clients on a routine basis and lead by example in providing contract/relationship management.
  • To implement and maintain business improvement and continuous improvement processes into all areas.

Hours will be a standard 40 hours over a 5-day period. On occasion flexibility may be required to suit contract requirements.


Person Specification:


The candidate will have demonstrable experience working in the FM industry.  Self-motivated, with strong team working attributes, the ability to analyse problems and develop a management plan to resolve any issues quickly and efficiently.

A dynamic professional approach and high self-conduct standards will be always expected. 

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 5 years experience within a similar role/environment
  • Extremely good communication & leadership skills
  • H&S Training



Desirable:

  • IOSH/NEBOSH certificate in H&S
  • Professional membership to an accredited FM body (IWFM)
  • Access NI Clearance
