Phase 1- We were initially entrusted as Main Contractors by artisan food producer Lynn’s Country Foods, to oversee the construction of a new state-of-the-art food manufacturing facility at their plant in Finnebrogue,Down Business Park Downpatrick which included the complete design and build of all M&E installations. The factory has been built on a 6‐acre site, a project that comprised the conversion and extension of an existing 1069m2 warehouse, increasing the building to 3700m2 during phase one and then further.
Phase 2 involved a new build factory for Lynn’s on a 6-acre site. This project comprised the conversion & extension of an existing warehouse seeing the factory standing at a staggering 14,500m2. The building provides Finnebrogue with process mix rooms, production halls,equipment washrooms, cold rooms, chilled storage, dry goods storage, spice prep, engineering workshops, automated packing and warehousing, a complete energy centre housing load centre, mechanical plant, hot water generation plant(with. heat recovery) and chiller plant plus full administration and technical support office and staff changing facilities.
Phase 3 involved a new project for Lynn Country Foods to construct a new build factory on an existing site, ‘Naked Bacon’, Nitrate Free Bacon factory. This project comprised of the complete strip out of the original factory right back to the Steel Shell and foundations. All new Drainage, Steel strengthening works,Insulated Roof & Wall Panels, Dock Levellers, Resin Floors, were then introduced. The building provides Finnebrogue with a state-of-the-art Brine Injection room, production halls,equipment washrooms, cold rooms, chilled storage, dry goods storage, and staff changing facilities. Once again, we were appointed on a Design & build basis. On completion of this project further plans are in place for the Construction of another new factory on a Greenfield site.
