Ulster University

Dowds Group successfully delivered the full electrical package for Ulster University’s landmark new Belfast campus, marking the completion of our largest-ever electrical contract. Working with Sacyr, this project highlights our ability to manage large-scale technical requirements and strengthens our long-standing relationship with Ulster University.

This massive city-centre development involved the comprehensive electrical fit-out of Ulster University’s flagship campus. The scope encompassed every major electrical system required for a world-class higher education facility, integrated into a unified, high-performance network. Commencing in July 2019, our team scaled to a peak workforce of 135 electrical operatives, managing a complex web of 84 suppliers and 16 labour subcontractors. Despite the unprecedented challenges posed by the global COVID-19 pandemic, Dowds maintained a rigorous installation standard throughout.
