Dowds Group delivered the M&E for a £14 million surgical centre at University Hospital Lewisham in partnership with Sisk. The 860-square-metre facility provided modern operating theatres and clinical support spaces, specifically designed to address the significant NHS backlog in ENT services by enabling over 5,000 additional procedures annually.

Marking Dowds’ second collaboration with Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, the project involved constructing a new build facility within a live hospital environment. The design seamlessly integrates modern surgical capacity with the historic hospital site, ensuring that the new addition complements the existing heritage while providing a significant leap forward in clinical capability.
