We had a fantastic evening on Friday at the iconic Titanic Belfast for the 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗜𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱! We were incredibly proud to be named finalists in two major categories:

Contractor of the Year

Commercial Project of the Year – Grand Central Station, Belfast

And we’re delighted to announce… we took home both awards!

An amazing recognition of the hard work and dedication our team brings to every project, from design to delivery.

For Dowds, Grand Central Station was our first ever transportation project, and it was a privilege to be involved in yet another major project of this scale in Belfast following our involvement in completing the full £24M electrical package for the new Ulster University Belfast campus.

This £340 million project will be the largest integrated transport hub in Ireland, which includes 26 new bus terminals, 8 new railway platforms replacing the old Great Victoria Street station and Europa Bus Centre, as well as food and retail outlets.

The event was a brilliant opportunity to connect with peers, celebrate industry achievements, and enjoy an evening of well-deserved recognition. A huge thank you to Karen McAvoy and the team for putting together such a memorable night – and congratulations to all the winners and finalists!
