Dowds are proud to have delivered Project Crystal, a major commercial fit-out for Taylor Wessing UK at 5 New Street Square, London, in collaboration with Mace.

Spanning multiple levels, the project has transformed the space into a contemporary headquarters that balances high-performance workspace with welcoming client areas. As lead MEP coordinator and installation contractor, Dowds delivered fully integrated mechanical and electrical services, including:

💡Full electrical distribution, lighting, containment and life-safety systems
⚡ Intelligent lighting controls and energy-efficient LED installations
🚨Integrated fire alarm, voice alarm and gaseous suppression systems
🔧Complete HVAC, PHS, BMS and sprinkler installations
❄️ VAV ventilation and N+1 DX cooling for resilient IT environments

Working within a constrained city-centre, live multi-tenanted building meant off-site prefabrication and just-in-time delivery were key to maintaining programme, safety and quality.

With sustainability central to the design, targeting BREEAM Outstanding, this project integrates energy-efficient systems, smart controls, sub-metering and water-saving measures aligned with BCO guidance.

Project Crystal showcases Dowds ability to deliver technically complex, large-scale commercial fit-outs safely, sustainably and to the highest standards.
